I recently purchased a Compass Ignition for my 1974 BMW R90/6. The kit was easy to install and came with clear instructions. The Tri Spark website also provides excellent technical documents and support. The bike is easier to start and pulls noticeably stronger through the rev range. I highly recommend this product to Airhead riders. You won't be disappointed. 

I've just taken her out on her maiden voyage post fitting Trispark .The bike is running beautifully! It starts on the first or second kick both hot and cold .I've tweaked the timing and it's sweet!

“I recently fitted a Trispark Magneto Replacement kit to my 1959 Velocette Venom. The process was straightforward and setting the initial timing not an issue. If you need to adjust the timing at any stage in the future it is a piece of cake. The unit itself hides away nicely and only the most determined would notice that you have replaced the magneto. The bike starts instantly as coil ignition gives a large spark at kick over speed unlike a magneto. The idle is also consistent as again you have a great spark at low speed. Riding is excellent with consistent spark all throughout the rev range and pulls strongly. Do yourself a favour and fit one, you won’t regret it.”

Absolutely happy

I fitted the new model Triple Flex ignition to upgrade from an old Boyer analogue system, having fitted Tri Spark ignitions before, this model is a little different to wire, not necessarily more difficult, just not the same. One of the advantages is that it can cope with a variety of coil options, so no need for balast resistors, and the mini coils can be used. This bike had original 6v Lucas coils in good condition so they stayed. Fitting took about and hour and 20 minutes, it started on the button (good battery and leads), when warm it was strobed and that was basically it, nice even tickover, pulled well from low revs and coped well with some heavy traffic, it also started well using the kickstart. Too soon to to comment on reliability, but everything works well so far.
