The kit includes Housing, Classic Twin ignition, Dual output coil (IGC-2012), leads and spark plug caps.
A battery is required to get the best possible results such as easy starting.
The Magneto Replacement (MRK-0002) has electronic advance and retard built in. It requires a solid drive gear (no springs and weights) which is not included in the kit.
You can set the timing statically using the built-in LED on the module – it simply requires that you accurately position the engine at the fully advanced crank position for the setup procedure.

Installed Trispark magneto replacement on Vincent
10 October 2020I put together a Vincent Black Shadow that had been disassembled 20 years ago for a very good friend of mine. In the process we installed big bore cylinders and a stroker crankshaft giving the old girl close to 1300ccs. We installed an aftermarket electronic magneto.. With the added displacement and 8.25 to one compression ratio my friend was having difficulty being able to kick the bike over fast enough for the magneto to develop the needed spark to start the engine. We rightfully thought that battery and coil electronic ignition would be the avenue to success and ordered the Tri-spark unit. It was straightforward to install and came with good instructions. Especially nice is that everything fits nicely under the magneto cover as the Vincent bikes do not have much in the way of extra spaces to mount anything and it looks stock. My friend found that he could start his bike much easier and also seemed to think it actually ran better. Enough so that we have a second Tri-spark magneto replacement unit on order and plan to install it on a Vincent Rapide. If you want an easy to install compact Electronic ignition system you will not go wrong here!

Magneto Replacement Kit for a Vincent Rapide B Ser
By: Classic Bike Repairs - Gerard Rowley on 22 January 2019I recently fitted a Tri-Spark magneto replacement kit to a Vincent Rapide as the owner was having trouble starting the bike and when running it was ok but not great. The bike was mechanically very healthy and had not covered many miles since a full open cheque book restoration by a well-known Vincent mechanic. It had new Amal carburettors and a rebuilt magneto and I checked the magneto timing and set it correctly. I suggested to the customer to let me fit the Trispark magneto replacement kit and assured him that it will make the bike easier to start and run better. This was the first magneto replacement kit I had fitted and when I started the engine for the first time, even I was amazed at how easy the bike started, thinking that it was a one off I tried it again and same result. When the bike was fully assembled I took it for a test ride and the engine was running very happily and smooth. I stopped and started the bike several time and every time it was a first kick start without much effort on the kickstart. Customer took bike for a test ride and same result easy starting along with a nice running engine. I now have another Vincent owner wanting me to fit a Tri-Spark to his Black Shadow and I am sure there will be others. Regards Gerard Rowley
